This was supposed to have gone out a few days before but I was slow. Still, I didn’t forget. This is a birthday I somehow never forget – I think I remember about it every year.

April 22 is Lenin’s birthday. I remember the year too – 1870. It kind of scares me to think this will always stay in my head.

Above is a picture of Lenin as a baby. The badge is of the October Organization, a boy-scout-like thing for the younger kids. When you grew up you got promoted to the Young Pioneer Organization that had a different, more adult-like badge. The badge above is the “new” badge that was introduced in early 1980s. When I was a member, we had a slightly different badge, also with a baby Lenin, but gilted.
