We were at the shore of Lake Mendota in Madison when we saw the sky get dark on the other side of the lake, even though it was sunny where we were. We watched the storm move across the lake, until the other side became bright again, just as the wind was starting to pick up where we were. It was soon pouring on our side, and the rain continued for several hours.
Watching the storm going across the lake was quite fascinating, and there were quite a few spectators, some of them also featured in the photos.
