After Köln we headed back to Amsterdam. On the way, we decided to stop briefly at Utrecht, another old town I vaguely heard about before. Utrecht wasn’t as pretty as Ghent, but still quite charming. And it has a rune stone.

Utrecht concludes the Europe trip. We were thinking of staying in Utrecht overnight, but ended up driving to the airport and staying in a hotel nearby. Next day we got up, had breakfast at a gas station, returned the car and flew back to CA.
