Buying a Router in Rio Page Content Page Name (for URL) Page Title Breadcrumb Text While some things here are very cheap (e.g. the above mentioned espresso for $0.60), others can be quite pricey. Today I went looking for an router in a place that everyone told me had the cheapest electronics, and discovered that cheapest wireless routers sold for R$360 - US$150. Having bought my last wireless router at Fries for just a bit over 50 bucks, this felt like a complete rip off. I ended up settling for a router without wi-fi - for half that price. The worst part: having come home, I discovered that I can actually connect both laptops to the network without a router - the provider seems to not mind issuing two IP addresses. (I will have to check if they are somehow charging us for it.) And if I try putting the router in it all stops working. Advanced Fields Category 2002200320042005200620072008200920102011201220132014E.
