With long hair and roundish glasses, I perhaps kind of do look like John Lennon. I've heard this in California, maybe a couple of times. Here in Brazil, however, I hear it virtually every other day. People in the streets shout “John Lennon” as I pass buy. Two days ago a guy in a bar bowed in front of me and tried to kiss my hand. A Michael Jackson impersonator downtown wanted to drag me into his show. Somehow, the threshold of johnlennonness is a lot lower in Rio. Maybe because very few men have long hair, maybe because fewer people seem to wear glasses. At the same time, nobody here seems to think that I look like Jesus, which I remember hearing quite a bit more often in California. I suppose this is still a Catholic country.
