On one of my last days in Brazil my father-in-law brought home some jambo fruits. I heard about those before, but have never seen them, since they aren’t commercially grown and sold in stores. I think he found them at one of the street markets.
Jambos are avocado-shaped (but slightly smaller in size), with a similar large stone inside. I am not sure how to describe the taste, but there is a reason, I think, why they aren’t grown commercially. :) Though, to be fair, the ones I ate I think were starting to ferment.
