First Day in Nanjing Don't put anything here Page Content Page Name (for URL) Page Title Breadcrumb Text After one day in Shanghai we took a morning train to Nanjing and got there after about 4 hours. Nanjing greeted us with signs written almost entirely in Chinese without pinyin (all street signs have pinyin). It also had a rather strange subway trains without separations between the cars, which meant that you could stare straight into the infinity when the train went on a straight line. (Nanjing was supposedly the largest city in the world at the time and the largest city ever surrounded by a wall.)
