After the day in Tongli, we took a bus back to Suzhou where we stayed again overnight. Next morning we checked out of our hostel, but left the bags there and headed out for a day in Suzhou before taking a bus back to Shanghai. We visited a Taoist “Temple of Mystery”, then another large garden (“Humble Administrator’s Garden”). The garden was beautiful, as they all were, but at this point we were thoroughly done with gardens. After that we walked through a somewhat sketchy neighborhood (reciting as a mantra “China is safe”). Then visited a pagoda, a museum, etc. My camera battery died half way into the day, so I took relatively few pictures.
