After Jacumã, our next stop was Praia da Pipa. Not to excited about repeating the complications of getting from Porto de Galinhas to Jacumã, we took up a taxi driver on an offer to drive us to Pipa – a 3 hour trip. We ended up skipping João Pessoa (the capital of Paraíba) – next time.
We arrived to Pipa in the evening on a Saturday, and Pipa’s famous night life was in full swing. (Or, rather, showed all sings of getting in full swing around the time we decided to go to sleep.) It was nearly all teen-agers, though.
Next day we walked around Pipa, which was gorgeous (did I say this about any of the other places so far?) We didn’t get to see any whales – they say you need high tide for that (I guess high tides are good for something). But the low tide has it’s advantages even in Pipa – the views of the boats sitting dry on the shore was were quite picturesque.
