Constructed in 1628, 70 meter long Vasa was one of the largest ships of the time. It was also one of the shortest lived – Vasa sunk within 15 minutes of it’s first journey, still in the Stockholm harbor. It lay there until 1960s until it was rediscovered and raised, becoming the centerpiece of Vasamuseet – probably the coolest museum in Stockholm.
